Operating for 170 years on the textiles retail market in Brazil, C&A has been developing the C&A Institute project for 25 years, a non-profit organization of public interest engaged in three major themes: The fashion Industry, Engagement (volunteering) and Education in Brazil. The workstream takes place through programs that meet the society’s demands. For each project, partnerships are established with social organizations and with the public authority so that the selected projects be developed.
Operating since 2011, the C&A Sociall Institute has been implemented at all C&A units in Brazil to transform initiatives into real projects to intervene on the communities’ behalf. The selection system helps to install and receive the public notices focused on the education and institutional development of organizations from all over Brazil. The process is carried out from the receipt of the project, evaluation, approval all the way to execution.
Altogether, there are about 60 projects handled per year and more than 500 proposals evaluated.
