Bracell-SP starts to use INFLOR Forest in their forest asset management

Bracell, which already uses INFLOR Forest in its unit that operates in Bahia, started to use the solution also in its unit in São Paulo, where it produces kraft paper. Started last October, the project went into operation in the first week of January, with the implementation of Forest Register, GIS (Geographic Information System) and Silviculture modules. With this project, all of Bracell’s forest assets are now managed by the INFLOR Forest system, which is the market leader in the forest sector.

The implementation of the system was an important step for Bracell-SP, as it provides an integrated database that facilitates access to information related to forest production data, favoring management analyzes and guiding decisions. The solution, which provides the information in the palm of your hand, also reduces any errors and allows offline data registration of activities in the field.

In the evaluation of the forest expansion director, Mauro Quirino, INFLOR Forest brings some process gains that allow the company to improve their agility from the planning, in the case of the Silviculture activities, to the field operation follow-up and supplier’s payment. “We were able to shorten the time for this work and minimize the effort of the teams dedicated to it”, he observes.

In the information base management, the system improves communication by working in an integrated environment that includes the GIS and Forest Register modules. “With only one input of data, the same information is now available for all environments. In addition, there is the possibility of having a forecast of expenditures during the month and an integrated view of the stocks, making information available in a faster and accurate way, to the entire forest team “, explains Mauro Quirino.

Vinicius Mattos, Project Manager from the INFLOR team, highlights that one of the challenges of the work at Bracell-SP was the deadline: “the implementation took place in three months and the result was positive”, he said, adding that the next step is to consolidate the use of the solution, with the implementation of the Harvest and Transportation modules. The start of this next phase occurs in March, with a forecast to have its go-live at the beginning of July.
