CENIBRA's GPF consists of implementing a forestry management solution using the SGF's best practices. "We have a consolidated product. But we perceive that what is made available through the SAP platform would lead to greater management facilities and corporate governance for Cenibra," said the director of the SAP area at INFLOR, Adriano D'el-Rey.
The project is innovative because it extends the SAP through a mature and consolidated forestry management model, incorporating important features for this type of operation. "It was necessary to use different systems, one to manage the company and the other for forestry management. The great advantage of the extension is that the SGF will work within SAP, facilitating the work of the software developers, consolidating on a single platform called the business information as well as speeding up the processing of the information. Furthermore, as a corporate management system, SAP takes into consideration corporate governance practices, which prove and guarantee the compliance of the company's processes. This will be extended to force the management," explained D'el-Rey.
The principal objective is to set up an agile and practical system of control and monitoring of Cenibra's operating control activities, both physical as well as monetary. The initiative will make it possible for the company to process, monitor, control and share information generated by the different areas involved in the process, such as Silviculture, Nursery, Harvest, Logistics, Wood Partners, Controlling and Finance, among others.
"The modules already available in the SAP system are being adapted to also meet the needs of forestry management. Just the Planning and GIS modules are specifically being developed to be inserted in the platform. The SGF will operate 100% within the SAP," emphasized D'el-Rey.
"The employees involved in the project must be open to change. The entire process represents a breaking of paradigms, because they are different technologies that, consequently, change the way we work. It is important that people are open to accepting what is new." Ana Maria Ferreira de Oliveira, Cenibra systems analyst.
"In order for a company to remain competitive, among other resources necessary are latest generation management systems capable of making processes more dynamic, with faster and more secure response times leading to effective decisions. With the implementation of the Project, Cenibra is becoming more modern and in step with market management practices " Luciano Amaral Rodrigues, Cenibra Forestry general manager
