Veracel contracted INFLOR to design the computing solution for its 3EV** project, coordinated by Prof. José Luiz Stape (Esalq/USP), designed to organize and relate plant growth information; test the hypotheses related to these relationships; and once tested, use these relationships to predict forestry productivity and the use of natural resources by the forests, according to different management and personalized conditions pursuant to the environmental situations at Veracel. Moreover, the system made it possible to integrate areas of research, inventory, geoprocessing and operations.
** "This model, based on the 3PG Model are (Landsberg and Waring 1997), is increasingly being used in the world as a forestry management tool, making it possible to generate future productivity scenarios according to climate change (more on less rainfall, lower or higher temperatures) or forestry management (clones, soil preparation, fertilization, weed and pest control, among others)." – IPEF Notícias n.184, January/February 2007.

"The 3EV Project has great strategic importance for the Veracel Forestry Technology area. For the project to be successful, besides the in-company professionals involved, Veracel was able to count on the fundamental participation of leading forestry researchers and excellent work conducted by INFLOR. At the end of this big challenge, I am quite satisfied with the results and the objectives that were achieved."
